My family (ages 11 yrs to 59 yrs) all enjoyed the show so take everyone – so take your family and friends alike! What a great idea; to interweave live music, with dance via the young n talented Graham Patzner who with his “verbal Interludes” singing & violin brought what felt like a theatrical European tone as he, as the “Maestro” of ceremonies, introduced each dance. IMEE founding directors Spencer Gavin Hering and Andrea Dawn Shelley, displayed incredible creativity both in their Choreography and dancing – a unique primal style - combining Modern dance, Ballet & Performance art! Their duo “IVONICE” was especially emotional. Special guest Choreographer Jerry Opdenaker’s “La Follias Folie” was a beautiful cohesive performance showcasing the entire company. Other talented IMEE dancers include Paola Georgudis, Cristian Laverde Koenig, Lindsay McGill, Mikhael Plain who in their own right each displayed their own unique, exceptional skills - while working together as one striking visual display! And speaking of striking – the lighting…wow! Jeremy Choate’s lighting’s is at once sensual and intoxicating. So all in all - IMEE seems to me a new breed of dance / performance that you don’t want to miss. They’re on the cutting edge - catch them now so you can tell everyone years from now – you knew (and saw) them when!
